Information technology department

The Department of Information Technology at Mashreq University relies on the use of the latest technologies in the management and security of networks and databases in order to enhance the culture of electronic governance. The department also deals with everything related to information technology in the university and its faculties, such as managing the e-mail system, programming applications for the university departments, maintaining computers and protecting against viruses, managing and maintaining the information exchange network and the Internet.

Tasks of the IT unit in the college

The first task

Managing the college's e-mail system, which includes adding, deleting, and setting passwords for e-mails of students, faculty, and staff, and sending official notifications, announcements, and collective circulars to college students, faculty, and staff, in addition to allocating powers to faculty for the purpose of addressing students according to departments, stages, and divisions.

The third task

Securing and managing the Internet system and working to provide service in all parts of the institution for the purpose of communication between departments through the electronic system of the college and sending and receiving all official notifications electronically.

The second task

Managing the college database server and updating the college programs.

Fourth task

Maintaining the internal computer network system in the college and protecting it from viruses.

Fifth task

Managing database systems for the registration and self-registration departments in the college with regard to students and associates.

   

Sixth task

Maintaining all types of computers for the college and providing computers with all service programs.
